P10 error means paper issue generally, paper jam, no paper feeding etc. none of them happened this time, just electronically wrong, here is the solution:
1. turn off the printer
2. press & hold the stop button
3. turn on the printer but hold the power button
4. while holding the power button, release the stop button
5. then still hold the power button, press "stop" twice
6. release power button
7. the P10 code supposed to be gone, or turn off the printer and turn back on again

 HP has done a firmware update recently.
Cartridges affected by this update are:
HP 902 (XL)
HP 906XL
HP 952 (XL)
HP 972 A/X
Printers connected over wifi are prompted “new firmware is detected, want to update?”.  Once the user clicks “update”, the printer will upgrade to the latest firmware version 1910AR.  As a result, chips on some aftermarket cartridges will no longer be recognized.
